The Conscious Conservative Pro-life Initiative: Equipping Evangelical Leadership with Tools for Effective Pro-life Outreach and Supporting Black Families with More Empowering Pro-life Choices
The Conscious Conservative Pro-life Initiative, founded in 2025 by Coach Felecia Killings, is a branch of The Felecia Killings Foundation’s national Black Outreach work.
Our mission is to build an alliance between conservative Black American voters and Evangelical leadership in pursuit of pure racial reconciliation and expansion of the conservative voting bloc on a national level.
In addition, we desire to see more empowering pro-life choices available to Black communities nationwide.
Our work of ministry is 100% financed by our Beloved Givers Community, our CCM Leadership Members, and Evangelical Leadership Clients like you.
The Importance of Evangelism and the Challenges Evangelical Leaders Face When It Comes to Effective Outreach (and How to Solve Them)
Evangelism, derived from the Greek word euangelion meaning "good news," is the cornerstone of Evangelical Christian faith and practice. It embodies the act of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others, inviting them to experience salvation and a transformative relationship with God. It also empowers communities with powerful messaging that helps them make wise social, political, and economic decisions.
Back in 2016, when the Holy Spirit brought me to the conservative political sphere, my primary message focused on the pure Kingdom of God, the principles of Conscious Conservatism (applying Kingdom laws in the social, political, and economic spheres), and effective evangelism so communities had more choices.
My message reached millions of people online as God opened media doors for me, including those within Fox News, News Nation, and others, particularly as it related to conservative outreach in Black American communities. But motivating audiences to see the value of effective evangelism and outreach wasn’t enough.
I also had to teach God’s Children and Evangelical leadership HOW to effectively deliver the empowering message so people on the outside of Evangelicalism and conservative politics would listen.
And my strategies worked.
Today, I continue empowering leaders to implement these tactics using my Conscious Conservative Communications Systems and Formula.
And in this empowering post, I want us to explore some of these ideas and the profound importance of evangelism within our communities nationwide.
Evangelicalism, characterized by its emphasis on personal conversion, the authority of Scripture, and the centrality of the cross, places a high premium on evangelistic outreach.
Spreading the Gospel is not merely an option but a core mandate, rooted in the Great Commission given by Jesus to his disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). But the landscape of evangelism has changed dramatically in recent decades. The rise of secularism, postmodernism, and cultural pluralism presents unique obstacles for Evangelical leaders seeking to connect with individuals who may be skeptical, indifferent, or even hostile toward traditional Christian beliefs.
Despite these challenges, there are always solutions. And in this empowering post, I will offer insights into potential strategies and approaches that Evangelical leaders can employ to overcome and engage in meaningful and impactful evangelism in this new season.
By understanding the importance of evangelism and acknowledging the obstacles that stand in the way, leaders can equip themselves and their congregations to be effective ambassadors of the pure Kingdom of God — and authentic conservatism — in a world desperately in need of hope and redemption.
The Theological Foundation of Evangelism
The imperative to evangelize is deeply embedded within Christian theology. Several key doctrines provide the foundation for this mission:
The Great Commission: As mentioned previously, Jesus's command in Matthew 28:19-20, to "Go and make disciples of all nations," serves as the primary mandate for evangelism. It highlights the universal scope of the Gospel and the responsibility of believers to share it with everyone, everywhere.
The Love of God: The motivation for evangelism stems from God's boundless love for humanity, a love that desires all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Evangelism becomes an act of love, extending God's grace and mercy to those who are lost and separated from him.
The Reality of Sin: Christian theology acknowledges the reality of sin and its devastating consequences. Sin creates a chasm between humanity and God, leading to spiritual death and eternal separation. Evangelism offers the solution to this problem, providing the opportunity for forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Person and Work of Christ: Evangelism centers on the person and work of Jesus Christ. It proclaims his deity, his incarnation, his sinless life, his atoning death on the cross, and his glorious resurrection. These truths form the core message of the Gospel, offering hope and salvation to all who believe.
The Holy Spirit's Power: Evangelism is not merely a human endeavor but a divinely empowered activity. The Holy Spirit convicts hearts, opens minds, and draws people to Christ. Evangelism relies on the Spirit's guidance, enabling believers to communicate the Gospel with clarity, boldness, and effectiveness.

Challenges Evangelical Leaders Face in Effective Outreach
Despite the theological imperative and the inherent value of evangelism, Evangelical leaders face a multitude of challenges in their efforts to reach out to the un-churched. These challenges can be broadly categorized as:
Secularism: The rise of secularism, with its emphasis on reason, materialism, and individualism, has created a cultural environment that is often skeptical of religious claims. Many people have abandoned traditional religious beliefs, viewing them as irrelevant or even harmful.
Postmodernism: Postmodernism challenges the notion of objective truth, emphasizing subjectivity, relativism, and cultural diversity. This makes it difficult to present the Gospel as a universal truth claim, as many people are resistant to the idea of absolute authority.
Cultural Pluralism: Increasingly, societies are becoming more diverse, with a wide range of religious beliefs and cultural practices. This can make it challenging for Evangelical leaders to understand and connect with people from different backgrounds who may have different values, worldviews, and communication styles.
Skepticism and Distrust: Due to historical abuses and negative stereotypes, some people harbor skepticism and distrust toward religious institutions and leaders. This can make it difficult to build relationships and establish credibility with those who are wary of evangelistic overtures.
Busyness and Apathy: Modern life is often characterized by busyness, distraction, and a lack of time for spiritual pursuits. Many people are simply too preoccupied with work, family, and other commitments to consider the claims of the Gospel. Furthermore, apathy and indifference toward religion can be significant barriers to effective outreach.
Fear of Offending: In an increasingly sensitive and politically correct culture, some Evangelical leaders may be hesitant to share their faith for fear of offending others or being perceived as judgmental or intolerant. This can lead to a watering down of the Gospel message or a complete avoidance of evangelistic conversations.
Lack of Training and Resources: Some Evangelical leaders may lack the training, skills, and resources necessary to engage in effective evangelism. They may feel ill-equipped to answer difficult questions, address complex theological issues, or navigate cultural sensitivities.
Internal Church Challenges: Internal church challenges such as conflict, division, or a lack of vision can also hinder evangelistic efforts. A church that is inward-focused and preoccupied with its own problems is unlikely to be effective in reaching out to the community.
Strategies for Effective Outreach
Despite the challenges, Evangelical leaders can employ various strategies to overcome obstacles and engage in meaningful and impactful evangelism.
Building Authentic Relationships: In a world characterized by skepticism and distrust, building authentic relationships is crucial. Leaders should prioritize getting to know people in their community, listening to their stories, and demonstrating genuine care and compassion. Evangelism should flow naturally out of these relationships, as people see the love of Christ reflected in the lives of believers.
Contextualizing the Gospel: Contextualization involves presenting the Gospel in a way that is relevant and understandable to a particular culture or audience. Leaders should be aware of the cultural context in which they are ministering and adapt their communication style and methods accordingly. However, contextualization should never compromise the core message of the Gospel.
Using Creative and Innovative Approaches: In an age of information overload, it is essential to use creative and innovative approaches to capture people's attention and communicate the Gospel in fresh and engaging ways. This may involve using social media, video, music, art, or other forms of media to share the message of Christ.
Addressing Intellectual Objections: Many people have intellectual objections to Christianity, such as the problem of evil, the reliability of the Bible, or the relationship between science and faith. Leaders should be prepared to address these objections with thoughtful and informed answers, providing evidence and arguments that support the truth of the Gospel.
Highlighting the Transformative Power of the Gospel: The Gospel is not merely a set of doctrines or beliefs but a transformative power that can change lives. Leaders should emphasize the practical benefits of following Christ, such as forgiveness, healing, hope, purpose, and community.
Equipping and Empowering the Laity: Evangelism is not solely the responsibility of leaders but the shared responsibility of all believers. Leaders should equip and empower their congregations to be effective witnesses for Christ in their daily lives, providing training, resources, and opportunities for outreach.
Partnering with Other Churches and Organizations: Collaboration can expand the reach and impact of evangelistic efforts. Pastors should seek opportunities to partner with other churches and organizations in their community to address shared needs and promote the Gospel.
Prayer: Effective evangelism is dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit. Leaders should prioritize prayer, both individually and corporately, seeking God's guidance, wisdom, and empowerment in their outreach efforts. They should also encourage their congregations to pray for the lost and for opportunities to share the Gospel.
In Conclusion …
Evangelism remains a vital and indispensable aspect of the Evangelical tradition. Grounded in the Great Commission and motivated by the love of God, Evangelical leaders are called to share the Gospel with the world, inviting people to experience salvation and a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ. While the challenges of effective outreach are significant, they are not insurmountable.
